Kauai Museum
Exhibits related to the history of the islands of Kauai
and Niihau are housed in the two buildings,
the 1924 Albert Spencer Wilcox building
and the 1960 William Hyde Rice building.
Kauai Children's Discovery Museum
A museum with exhibits and activities
for children, located at the Kauai Village
Shopping Center in Kapa'a.
Kokee Natural History Museum
A Kauai ecology, geology,and climate museum
that also has information about trails in Waimea
Canyon and Koke'e State Parks. Located next
to Koke'e Lodge in Koke'e State Park.
Grove Farm Homestead Museum
A sugar plantation lifestyle museum with exhibits
about life during the period 1964-1978, including
the restored Wilcox family home, plantation office,
worker's houses, grounds, garden, and livestock.
Hawaiian Art Museum
Serge Kahili King's private museum
of Hawaiian artifacts is located
at 4504 Kukui Street, Suite 11 in Kapaa,
Kauai, Hawaii.
Gay and Robinson Sugar Plantation
The visitor center of this operating sugar
plantation offers two hour tours on weekdays
and a special three hour tour to Olokele Overlook
by appointment only. The three hour tour includes
lunch, and it also includes views of the sugar fields,
ranch operations, the 1904 Olokele ditch, and the
hydroelectric plant. Visitors must be age 8 or
above during harvesting season, and age 5 or above at
other times.
