Pipeline
(2006)
This movie was inspired by actual events, and it tells
the story of six childhood friends who paddle into the waves
at the Banzai Pipeline on the North shore of Oahu on the
night of October 14, 2001. Only five make it back to shore,
and four years later survivors are haunted by the memory of
what happened. The film will take at least two years to film,
and it is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2006.

The Ride
(2003)
The 2003 feature length film "The Ride" is about a California surfer competing
on Oahu's north shore, who wipes out and is magically transported back in time
to the Hawaii of 1911. During his time traveling adventure, he washes up on
Waikiki beach, where he makes friends with a young Hawaiian boy, the future
Olympic and surfing champion Duke Kahanamoku. The movie was written, produced,
and directed by Hawaii film-maker Nathan Kurosawa and it received the Audience
Award at the 2003 Honolulu International Film Festival. "The Ride" is currently
only available at Borders Bookstores in Hawaii, but soon it will be available
for mail order purchase on the film's official Web site.

Beyond Paradise
(1998)
An independent film about a California teenager who
relocates to Hawaii and faces hostility from the locals.
The film was intended to highlight both the beauty and
the dark underbelly of Hawaii. Features Roy Newton,
Kalani, Lorenzo Callender, and Daryl Bonilla.

North Shore
(1987)
Rick Kane spends a summer surfing in Hawaii the summer
before he enrolls in art school, and he is introduced
to Hawaiian customs by the locals. Stars Matt Adler,
Gregory Harrison, Nia Peeples, and Christina Raines.
