Hawaii Five-O 2007
Warner Brothers Studios is making a feature length
film based on the Hawaii Five-O television series that
was popular in the 1970's and 1980's.
The film is being produced by George Litto, the agent
of Leonard Freeman, the creator of the television series.
The screenplay is being written by Ocean's 11
screenwriter George Nolfi. After years of negotiation with
various hollywood studios, George Litto sold the
Hawaii Five-O film rights to Warner Brothers Studio.
The film is expected to be filmed in 2006 on Oahu and
the Big island, and released in 2007. No actors
have been cast yet, but in past interviews George Litto
has said he could picture George Clooney, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford,
or Michael Douglas as McGarrett, the character played by
Jack Lord in the TV series.
