General information and facts about the Waimea-Kohaha
Airport on the Big Island of Hawaii
This 90 acre airport is located one mile south of
the town of Kamuela (also known as Waimea) on
the Big Island of Hawaii. It is a general
aviation airport with one runway,
a small parking area, and fueling facilities.
acilities are available. There is no air traffic
control tower or facilities. Access to the airport
is by a small road that connects the airport with
the Mamalahoa Highway. An aircraft rescue and fire
fighting facility shares
space in the airport maintenance facility.
