2007 Apr 15:
Superferry Alakai Will Sail for Isles in May
The Alakai Superferry is scheduled to leave Mobile, Alabama in late May of 2007 for its trip to the Hawaiian Islands.

2007 Apr 14:
First Hawaii Superferry Christened in Alabama
The first of two Hawaii Superferry vessels was christened the "Alakai" at Austal's Shipyard in Alabama. The Alakai will hold 866 passengers and 250 cars.

2007 Apr 10:
Sea Trials Completed for Hawaii Superferry
The first Hawaii Seaferry ship successfully completed five days of sea trials in the Gulf of Mexico in April of 2007.
