Hawaiian Beef Recipes

Chili and Rice
The chili in this recipe has a smooth texture
and it is made with an aromatic array of spices and ingredients,
including chili powder, cumin, allspice, cinnamon,
cayenne pepper, and even unsweetened cocoa,
Worcestershire sauce, and vinegar.
Curried Steak
This stir-fry curried steak dish is flavored
with onions, curry, ginger, jalapeno pepper,
and coconut milk.
Curry Stew
Curry stew is a staple at Hawaiian plate lunch
cafes. It typically includes beef,
potatoes, carrots, and onions, and it is served over
steamed white rice.
Loco Moco
Loco Moco is a popular and hearty Hawaiian breakfast dish that some say
was invented in 1940's in Hilo Town on the Big Island of Hawaii.
A Loco Moco is white rice, topped with a hamburger
patty, topped with a fried egg, and smothered with gravy.
Palusami
This version of palusami recipe includes canned corned beef,
coconut cream, and onions which are formed into bundles, wrapped
in taro leaves, and baked. I often make the corned beef version using
spinach leaves instead of taro.
Teriaki Meatballs
These simple meatballs are served in a sauce made
of soy sauce, sake, beef broth, ginger,and garlic.
They make a great pupu to serve at cocktail parties.
