Oahu Walking Tours

Oahu walking tours including walking tours of Honolulu, Waikiki, and other parts of the island of Oahu.

Self-Guided Honolulu Historic Tour
Photos and information that will help you plan a self-guided walking tour of the historic capitol district of downtown Honolulu. Includes pictures and descriptions of the Iolani Palace, the King Kamehameha Statue, the Kawaiahao Church, the Lunalilo Mausoleum, the Mission Houses Museum, the State Capitol Building, and many other sites in historic downtown Honolulu.

Waikiki Historic Trail
There are twenty-three historic sites on this self-guided walking tour of Waikiki and nineteen of them are marked with six foot tall, surfboard-shaped structures with photos and historic information. The sites without surfboard markers are typically markers in themselves, such as the healing stones and the statues of King Kalakaua and Duke Kahanamoku.

Historian-Guided Honolulu Tour
Walking tours of Honolulu's historic capitol district led by Hawaii historian and book author Nanette Napolean. Tours begin at the Mission Houses Museum. (NOTE TO KATHIE: FIND NAPOLEAN HONOLULU TOUR ARTICLE)

Virtual Walking Tour of Honolulu
This Honolulu "virtual field trip" was prepared by the University of Hawaii and it includes an aerial map of Honolulu marked with 12 interesting sites. I view this as 12 different walking tours instead of one long one, because not all of these sites are close to each other, and it would be worthwhile to take some time to explore each of these areas.

Zoo After Dark Walking Tour
This two hour walking tour is conducted every Satyurday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 151 Kapahulu Avenue, Honolulu. For more information call 808-926-3191.
