  3. Bishop Museum at Kalia Tower
    There is a branch of the Bishop Museum in the Kalia tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel. The museum highlights native Hawaiian cuture and hisory.

    This casual outdoor shopping center is full of small shops and cafes and it has a tiki decor. It is directly opposite the Sheraton Moana Hotel. This was originally the site of Queen Emma's home when she was the widow of King Kamehameha IV.

    The Pohaku were placed opposite a reef known as the "Cave of the Shark God". (same as below?)

  11. Royal Hawaiian Hotel (1927)

  12. Coconut Grove of the Helumoa Heiau
    In the east courtyard of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel you can see the remains of an ancient hawaiian place of worship, the Helumoa Heiau. Originally there was a grove of 10k000 coconut trees on this site, and some of them have been preserved.


  13. Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel
    (Natoinal Register of Historic Places) 2365 Kalakaua AVenue

  14. Duke Kahanamoku Statue
    Visitors to Waikiki pay homage to Duke Kahanamoku by draping leis on his arms. Duke was Hawaii's first Olympian and he continued his Olympic career for 21 years. His 17 foot bronze statue is the most photographed attraction in Hawaii. (Located Across the street from the Hyatt Regency and King's VillageHotels, next to the Waikiki Police Station on Kalakaua Avenue)

  15. US Army Museum
    32 Kalia Road in Hale Koa park. It is housed in a military bunker that was built in 1911 to defend Pearl Harbor. Collections include weapons and other military items from ancient Hawaii to the present day.
