World War II Japanese Surrender Plaque
On the Deck of the USS Missouri Battleship

In the center of this cordoned off area on the deck of the USS Missouri Battleship there is a plaque marking the exact spot where the Japanese signed the documents of surrender at the end of World War II. The USS Missouri has been decommissioned, and it is currently docked in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Public tours are available.
