Theme Parks on Oahu

Amusement parks, theme parks, and large attractions on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Polynesian Cultural Center
A 42 acre park demonstrating the cultures of the South Pacific, including Hawaii, Fiji, New Zealand, Marquesas, Samoa, Tahiti,and Tonga. Each village can be explored on foot or on a canoe tour. In addition to the native villages, there is a canoe parade, there are live shows, an IMEX large screen movie presentation. All-inclusive packages costing $50 to $195 are availailable, and it is also possible to buy an admission-only ticket that does not any meals or shows.

Sea Life Park
This 62 acre oceanside sealife show park includes dolphin shows, A stingray lagoon, a sea turtle lagoon, a Penguin exhibit, a 300,000 gallon aquarium, and a nightly luau.

Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park
A 25 acre water park located in the town of Kapolei in southwest oahu, and 40 minues west of Waikiki.

Kualoa Ranch
A 4000 acre family owned cattle ranch on the windward side of Oahu that offers horseback riding, ATV tours, kayaking, jungle expeditions, target shooting, and a movie set tour.

Honolulu Zoo
A 43 acre zoo on the east end of Waikiki near Kapiolani Park in Honolulu.

Waikiki Aquarium
This aquarium was founded in 1904 and it is part of the University of Hawaii system. More then 400 species of aquatic life are exhibited.

Waimea Falls Adventure Park
This park was shut down in 2003, and it has been replaced by the Waimea Valley Audubon Center.

Paradise Park
Paradise Park in the Manoa Valley is no longer open, but there are proposals to turn that area into an ecosystems research center or a Hawaiian culture preservation center.
