Pearl Harbor Tour

A self-guided tour of historic Pearl Harbor, which is located on the south coast of the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Includes information about the USS Arizona and USS Utah Memorials, tours of the USS Missouri Battleship and the USS Bowfin Submarine, an introduction to Ford Island, and more.

Most visitors to Pearl Harbor see the USS Arizona Memorial and the Bowfin Submarine first, because they are located near each other, and then they take the shuttle to Ford Island to visit the USS Missouri Battleship. The USS Arizona and the USS Missouri are actually located right next to each other in the water off of Ford Island, but the launch site for the tour boats going to the Arizona Memorial are near the Bowfin Submarine Museum and Tour.

  1. USS Arizona Memorial
This memorial sits above the site where the USS Arizona battleship was sunk during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Tours are free, and they include a film about the attack and boat transportation to the memorial.

  2. USS Missouri Battleship Tour
This 108 foot United States battleship was the site where Japan signed the formal instrument of surrender, effectively ending World War II in 1945. The ceremony was conducted by General Douglas MacArthur. The ship was retired in 1992 and pubic tours have been offered since 1999.

  3. USS Bowfin Submarine Tour
This World War II submarine is now part of a memorial park in Pearl Harbor, which includes a 10,000 square foot indoor museum, an outdoor museum, and tours of the submarine itself.

  4. USS Utah Memorial
A memorial to the 58 crew members who died inside the ship during the World War II Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
