National Cemetary of the Pacific
A 113 acre cemetary located inside Puowaina Crater
(aka Punchbowl) is located on the south side of
the island of Oahu, east of Waikiki. The cemetary
was dedicated in 1949. Hawaiian Astronaut
Ellison Onizuka, who died aboard the space
shuttle Challenger in 1986, is buried here,
along with more then 30,000 veterans.

This Waikiki museum is housed in a former fort,
and was founded to preserve the military history of
of Hawaii, from ancient times to the present day.
Located on the west end of Waikiki
in Fort DeRussy Park on the grounds of the Hale
Koa Hotel.
