Horseback Riding on Oahu

There are several horseback riding stables on the south shore, windward side and north shore of Oahu, including ranches at Koko Head Crater, Kualoa, Kahuku, Turtle Bay, Mokuleia Beach. You can also take a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through Waikiki or rent a pony for an Oahu children's party.

Oahu Horseback Riding Stables

Happy Trails Hawaii
Horseback riding through forests, ranch land, and orchards in the lush Waimea Valley on the north shore of Oahu. Trails have beautiful canyon and ocean views. For information, visit the Happy Trails Stable Web site or call 808-638-7433.

Kahuku-Kai Horse Ranch

Koko Crater Equestrian Center

Kualoa Ranch
This ranch on the northeast shore of Oahu offers guided horseback riding tours in the Ka'a'awa Valley, through grassy meadow with views of the sea and the Kualoa Mountains. For more information visit the Kualoa Ranch Web site or call 808-237-7321.

Turtle Bay Resort Horseback Riding
The Stables at Turtle Bay offers lessons and guided horseback riding tours on the Kawela Bay trails near the resort. Evening rides, carriage rides, and wagon rides are also available. For more information visit the Turtle Bay Stables Web Site or call 808-293-6000.

Oahu Carriage Rides

Honolulu Horse and Carriage
Offers sightseeing tours of Waikiki in horse-drawn carriages. They also rent carriages for weddings, proms, birthday parties, and other special occasions. For more information, visit the Honolulu Carriage Web site or call 808-924-7895.

Oahu Pony Rides

Correa Pony Rides
This company is based in Waimanalo and they offer Shetland pony trail rides along the base of the Koolau Mountains. Trails have beautiful views of the Kakapuu Lighthouse, Turtle Island, and Rabbit Island. For more information call 808-259-0014.

Party Time Ponies
Ponies and horses rented by the hour. Rentals must be arranged at least a month in advance. Ponies can handle up to 80 pounds. For more information, contact 808-668-6540.

Ziggy Pony Parties
This Waianae-based company organizes pony parties for childrens' birthdays, fund raisers, and other events. Ponys are brought to the client's location and riders up to 140 pounds can be accommodated. For more information call 808-696-8560.
