Hawaii Kai is a residential development
on the south shore of Oahu, about 11 miles east of Waikiki.
Hawaii Kai was built around the Maunalua fishpond and the wetlands
area known as Kuapa. The Hawaii Kai Marina
was created in approximately 1959 by dredging
Kuapa Pond. The area now includes several
residential tracts that extend into the valleys
and up the mountain ridges in the area.

A shopping center just west of Hanauma Bay, with shops,
restaurants, and an eight screen movie theater.
Hawaii Kai Golf Course
This golf course in Hawaii Kai has an executive
course that was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
and opened in 1962 and a championship course that was
designed by William Bell and opened in 1973.
J & B's Haven Bed and Breakfast
This bed and breakfast in Hawaii Kai
has two rooms available, each with a private bathroom,
television ,and small refrigerator. One room has a
queen size bed, and the other room has a king size
bed, air conditioning, and a microwave oven. A breakfast
