South Oahu Golf Courses

The Oahu golf courses closest to Waikiki and Honolulu are the courses on the southeast side of the island. Includes the Ala Wai Golf Course, the Hawaii Kai Golf Course, the Honolulu Country Club, the Oahu Country Club, and the Waialae Country Club.

This City and County of Honolulu golf course is located on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki, near Kapiolani Park, between the Ala Wai Canal and Date Street. Views of Diamond Head Crater and the Waikiki skyline.

Description: Located approximately 13 miles east of Waikiki. A windy course with views of the ocean and the Koolau Mountains.

  • Executive Course: 2323 yards, par 55, built in 1962, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.

    This course was originally built in 1906, and at that time it was a nine hole course. The second nine holes were completed in 1913. Located in the Nuuanu Valley overlooking downtown Honolulu.
