Dole Plantation
Central Oahu, Hawaii

The Dole Plantation on Kamehameha Highway in Central Oahu was originally a fruit stand that opened in 1950 next to a pineapple field. It has been open to the public as a visitor attraction since 1989.

More then a million people a year visit the Dole Plantation's pineapple maze, train ride, and pineapple garden. The plantation shop and cafe sell more then 3500 fresh pineapples a week.

Visiting the plantation grounds, the pineapple garden, the gift shop, and the cafe is free. There are separate charges for taking the train ride, visiting the maze, and taking the plantation garden tour. All three attractions can be visited for less then $20 total.

Everybody who visits the Dole Plantation wants to try this frozen treat. It can be ordered in a cone or in a bowl, either plain or topped with fresh pineapple.
