Bell House at the Byodo-In Temple

The Bell House (kanetsu-ki-do) at the Byodo-In Temple
on the island of Oahu contains a five foot tall, three ton,
sacred bell made of a mixture of bronze and tin.
It is traditional to ring the bell before entering the
temple to create an atmosphere of tranquility for meditation.
The sound of the bell resonates for quite a long distance.
