Best Oahu Breakfast Restaurants
A guide to some of the best and most popular Oahu breakfast restaurants,
including cafes and restaurants in Waikiki, downtown Honolulu,
Aiea, Kailua on the windward side, and the north shore town of
Haleiwa. Note that breakfast lines can be long for
the most popular Oahu breakfast restaurants, but just
think of that as an indicator of how good the food is!
Anna Miller's 24 Hour Restaurant
This restaurant is located in Pearlridge Shopping Center in
Aiea, and it is one of the most popular
breakfast spots on Oahu. On the weekends it often has long
lines for breakfast. They have a large menu of
American and Hawaiian style breakfast items, including
chicken fried steak breakfast. Anna Miller's is also well-known for
pies, and especially for their fresh strawberry pie.
The first Anna Miller's restaurant opened in Hawaii
in 1973 and since then most of their expansion has been
in Japan, where the restaurant is as famous for its
waitress uniforms as it is for the food (the Hawaii restaurant
does not have the same uniforms). In Japan the Anna Miller's
is advertised as serving "American Foods, Pennsylvania Dutch
Home Made Pies and Sweets". Anna Miller was the name
of founder Stanley Miller's grandmother.

Boots & Kimo's Homestyle Kitchen
This restaurant is located on Hekili Street
in the windward Oahu town of Kailua. It is
only open until 2 p.m., and its specialty is
banana pancakes with and macadamia nut sauce.

Cinnamon's Restaurant
This restaurant on Uluniu Street in the Windward Oahu
town of Kailua serves breakfast every day from 7:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m. Their signature dish is eggs benedict, either
the traditional version, the vegetarian version,
or made with Hawaiian mahi mahi fish. Other items on
their menu include prime rib and eggs with mushrooms,
omelettes, skillet breakfasts, frittata, a Mexican
breakfast, pancakes, french toast, and egg platters

Eggs and Things
This restaurant on Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki first opened
in 1974 and they serve pancakes, crepes,
omelettes, and other egg dishes from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. seven
days a week. Their menu includes more then fifteen different
omelettes and pancakes, waffles, and crepes are available in
coconut, banana, pineapple, macadamia nut, strawberry,
lemon, and sour cream.

Original Pancake House
This chain restaurant has two locations
in Honolulu, at 1414 Dillingham Boulevard and
1221 Kapiolani Boulevard. Their specialties are
pancakes, waffles, and crepes, but they also offer
omelettes and egg platters.
Sam Choy’s Breakfast, Lunch, Crab and Big Aloha Brewery
This Sam Choy restaurant is located on Nimitz Highway
in Honolulu and they are open for breakfast Monday
through Friday, 6:30-10:30 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday
7:00-11:30 a.m. Their menu features egg platters,
omelettes, several different loco mocos, pancakes,
waffles, a kalua pork breakfast wrap, and fried rice
topped with eggs.

Zippy's
This reasonably priced family restaurant is everywhere in Hawaii
and they serve breakfast from 11:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday
through Friday and until noon on Saturdays and Sundays. Some
of their most popular menu items are Portuguese sausage and eggs,
fish and eggs, loco moco, sweet bread french toast, banana pancakes, and
a variety of omelettes. Breakfast pastries and other baked
goods are available at Napoleon's Bakery, which is located
inside most Zippy's Restaurants.
