Chinatown Honolulu
Honolulu's Chinatown area is located between the Nuuanu
Steam and Nuuanu Avenue on the west side of Honolulu's
central business district.
The Hawaii Theater, many Chinese restaurants and businesses,
and the open air Oahu Market are located in Honolulu's
Chinatown, and the area has recently also become a
center for the arts in Honolulu. In May of 2006,
Chinatown Honolulu was designated a "Preserve America
Community Neighborhood" by the United
States White House Advisory Council on Historical
Preservation.

First Friday in Chinatown
On the first Friday of each month there is an art walk and festival
in old town Honolulu on the eastern edge of Chinatown and the western
edge of the Honolulu business district.
