nominated for a 2005 Grammy Award

Raiaatea Helm's Performance Schedule
Hawaiian falsetto singer Raiatea Helm was born
on Oahu, raised on Molokai, and first appeared on
the Hawaiian music scene in 2000 when she was only 18
years old. Her first album, "Far Away Heaven" amazed
longtime aficionados of the Hawaiian falsetto singing
style because of the purity and clarity of her voice.
Many say she is a natural successor to the great
falsetto singers Genoa Keawe, Lena Machado, and Amy
Hanaialii Gilliom.
When her first album, "Far Away Heaven", was released,
Raiatea Helm was named Female Vocalist of the Year
and Most Promising New Artist at the Na Holu Hanohano awards
and she was named Female Vocalist of the Year at the
Hawaii Music Awards. Her second album, "Sweet and Lovely", was
one of five 5 albums nominated for the
2006 Grammy Award for best Hawaiian music album.
Raiatea is currently attending Maui Community College
and she performs reguarly at Maui's
Grand Wailea Resort Hotel and Spa. See her
