  • Played with Ernie Lee's Pleasant Valley Boys
  • Played in Ernest Tubb's Band
  • Played the Nashville sound in the 1950's and 1960's
  • First Hawaiian music album was in 1951
  • It was called "Shores of Waikiki"
  • He moved to Hawaii in 1968
  • From then on he played exclusively Hawaiian music
  • Inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame inf 1978
