Alan L. Akaka is one of Hawaii's top steel
guitar players. He is also the president of the
Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association and a teacher
of Hawaiian music and culture.

Director of Na Opio Singers and Ensemble at Kam Schools
Former director of Kam High School marching band
He teaches Hawaiian music, languages, and appreciation
classes at Kamehameha School and the Kamehameha Performing
Arts Academy.
