Born: December 19, 1831
Died: October 16, 1884

Princess Pauahi was born on December 19, 1831 and her full married name was Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop. She was the the last descendent of King Kamehameha I.

At one time she was engaged to King Kamehameha V, but she ended up marrying businessman Charles Bishop instead. She is remembered as a philanthropist who left money to establish the Kamehameha School for Native Hawaiian children.

Before King Kamehameha V died, he offered the throne to Princess Pauahi, but she did not accept it.

Princess Pauahi died on October 16, 1884.
