The Kingdom of Kauai

King Kamehameha I conquered all the Hawaiian islands by force, except the island of Kauai. King Kaumualii of Kauai surrendered the island of Kauai to Kamehameha I under the condition that King Kaumualii could continue governing the island of Kauai until his death.
