Kapuaiwa Coconut Grove
Molokai, Hawaii

The Kapuaiwa Coconut Grove on the south shore of Molokai was planted by King Kamehameha V in the mid 1800's, before he was king. He planted approximately ten acres of trees, and several hundred of them are still standing.

It is not possible to walk through the trees in the Kapuaiwa Coconut Grove, because falling coconuts can be deadly, but you can get very nice views of the grove from the adjacent Kiowea Beach Park. The Kapuaiwa Coconut Grove is located on the south shore of Molokai, near the Malama Cultural Park, about a mile west of the town of Kaunakakai, and across the highway from Molokai's "Church Row".
