Introduction to Wailea
Maui, Hawaii

An introduction to the planned resort community of Wailea, which is located on the southeast coast of the island of Maui.

About Wailea Maui
Wailea is a 1,500 acre planned resort on the east side of Maui's dry southern coast. The community has a master plan that guarantees it will remain a low density development and the Wailea Community Association has design guidelines which are suppose to - among other things - preserve Maui's environment. Many of the homes and condominiums in Wailea have private gated entrances, utilities are buried underground, and all roadways are landscaped. The area has several luxury resorts and condomimium complexes where vacation accommodations are available. Wailea is a popular destination for golfers, tennis players, and visitors with money to spend. It not a budget destination, however there are some medium priced condominium units available.
