Makena State Park
A 165 acre park on the south coast of Maui,
east of the resort community of Wailea.
The largest beach in the park is known as "Big Beach"
and it is about 1.5 miles long and 100 feet wide.
Nearby "Little Beach" is sometimes frequented by
nude sunbathers (note that public nudity is not
legal in Hawaii, so if you try it, even on a secluded
beach, you are taking a chance)
Makena Stables
These stables have been owned by Pat and Helaine Borge
since 1983 and they offer physically strenuous rides
on rugged and challenging trails onthe 20,000 acre
Ulupalakua Ranch.
