French Frigate Shoals
French Frigate Shoals is the largest atoll in the
Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. It includes
a twenty mile crescent shaped reef, twelve
sandbars,and 120 foot high la Perouse Pinnacle.
The total land area of French Frigate Shoals
is approximately 70 acres, and the total reef
area is more then 230,000 acres.

Tern Island
The largest body of land in French Frigate Shoals is
Tern Island. It was used as an airplane refueling
station at one time, and it is now a bird nesting area.
