Lumahai Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the north shore of Kauai. It is located off Kuhio Highway near Wainiha and it has been used for filming many movies including "South Pacific". Lumahai Beach is less then a mile long and very wide. It is usually too dangerous for swimming but somtimes the summer surf is calm enough on the east end of the beach.
