Festivals on Kauai

Kauai Kokihana Festival
A week-long festival celebrating music, crafts, and the Hawaiian language. The event typically takes place in September.

Kauai Mokihana Festival
An annual Hawaiian culture event that includes workshops, contests, music, folk crafts. The event typically takes place in September.

Kauai Polynesian Festival
This annual festival features Tahitian, Maori, Samoan, and Hawaiian entertainment, arts, crats, dance competitions, food booths, and activities for kids. The 6th annual Kauai Polynesian Festival took place May 25-28, 2006 at the Vidinha Stadium Soccer Field in Lihue.

Kauai Pow Wow
An annual event that has been held since 1997 to celebrate the Native American culture. Includes performances by youth drum groups, Native American dancing, food booths, crafts, and family activities.

Kauaian Days
A two week cultural festival with celebrations, concerts, sporting events, children's activities, beach parties, and other events all over Kauai. Select the helmet and the group of people on this Web site for more information. Typically occurs in January.

Koloa Plantation Days
An international festival celebrating the many cultures who immigrated to Hawaii to work on Kauai's plantations. This event typically takes place in July.

Waimea Town Celebration
This February festival takes place in Waimea Town on the Friday and Saturday following the President's Day weekend. The first annual event was held in 1978 as part of the bicentinnial celebration of Captain Cook's landing in Hawaii.
