Kauai Travel Guide
Kauai is the oldest of the main islands
in Hawaii, and also the most northern.
It is known as the "garden isle" and it receives more
rainfall than any of the other Hawaiian islands.
In 1998 the Hanalei River on Kauai was designated
as an American Heritage River to help
preserve the surrounding environment.
