Longshore and Warehouse Union Hawaii
The Hawaii branch of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union is ILWU Local 142.

Hawaii Government Employees Association
Local union for state and county employees in the Hawaiian Islands.

University of Hawaii Professional Assembly
Bargaining agent for faculty members at the University of Hawaii and the community colleges associated with the University of Hawaii.

United Public Workers
Local Hawaii labor union for state and county employees in blue color positions, non-professional institutional, health, and correctional workers (except white collar workers, and non-supervisory employees of private hospitals and nursing homes.

Historic Labor Strikes in Hawaii

1924
In 1924 Filipino laborer Pablo Manlapit led an eight-month strike of plantation workers on Kauai.

1949
In 1949 Jack Hall led a six-month strike by the International Longshoreman's and Warehouseman's Union. Jack Hall and six codefendents are convicted June 17, 1953 under the anti-Communist Smith Act.
