Oahu Skateparks

Aala Park Skatepark Facility
Completed in about March of 2002

Banzai Rock Skatepark
In 2003 the city of Honolulu was planning to build a 100,000 square foot skatepark on the North Shore, across Kamehameha Highway near the Banzai Rock and Banzai Pipeline surfing spots.

    Kamiloiki Community Skatepark and Hockey Rink
    This skating facility in Hawaii Kai opened on September 14, 2002. Features include an aggressive skateboard and a smooth concrete inline hockey rink. The entire facility cost more then $1 million to build. Located at the corner of Lunalilo Home Road and Hawaii Kai Drive.

    Kaneohe District Skatepark
    This 7500 square foot skatepark opened in Kaneohe District Park on September 27, 2002.

    Manana Skatepark
    This Pearl City skatepark opened July 1, 2005 in Manana Community Park.

    Mililani District Skatepark
    10,000 square foot skatepark opened February 16, 2002.

    City of Honolulu planned to open other facilities in Kaneohe, Kailua, North Shore, Wahiawa, and Kalihi.

    Kapahulu Skate Park (closed)
    In May 1997 a concert was held to raise $15,000 to build the YMCA Kapahulu Skatepark. The 20,000 square foot skatepark opened at the corner of Kapahulu and Harding in July of 1997 and they held their first competition in August of 1997. Unfortunately the skatepark closed down on September 4, 1999 because of a Hawaii state freeway retrofitting project.
