Where you can watch movies outdoors on 20 to 30 foot screens in Hawaii. Includes information about large screen, outdoor movie presentations on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Lanai, and the Big Island of Hawaii.

Waikiki Sunset on the Beach
Every weekend in Honolulu there is an event called "Sunset on the Beach" which is an outdoor concert followed by a movie shown on a huge outdoor screen on Waikiki Beach.

Lanai Classic Film Series
The Classic Film Series at the Lanai Arts Center on the island of Lanai shows a free classic film and a cartoon on a 20 foot outdoor screen in Dole Park, on the first Wednesday of the month, from April through September

Big Island Movies Under the Stars
Every Tuesday night you can watch an outdoor movie at the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the northwest Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The films begin at dusk and they are shown on a 17 by 10 foot digital outdoor screen at the Kings' Keaka (Kings' Theater) on a lawn located on the mauka (mountain) side of Kings' Lake. Admission for adults is $5 and children under 5 are free. For more information contact 808-886-8811

Hana Movie Night
Once a month, there is a free outdoor movie in the remote town of Hana, Maui that is produced by the Hotel Hana Maui. I have heard it takes place on either the fourth Friday or the last Friday of each month, so if there are five Fridays in particular month, check with the organizers to confirm. In addition to the movie, there are food booths. For more information contact 808-248-8211.
