USS Hawaii CB-3 Navy Cruiser
The first United States Navy ship to be named
the USS Hawaii was an Alaska-class U.S. Navy cruiser
known as the USS Hawaii (CB-3). The ship was
partially constructed during World War II but
it was never completed.
USS Hawaii (CB-3) being towed away for scrapping on June 20, 1959.
The 12 foot turrets were removed before this picture was taken.
