Earth, Wind, and Fire Inside Diamond Head Crater
The organizers of the Diamond Head Crater Celebration have announced some of the artists who will perform at their event in 2007. Artists will include Earth, Wind and Fire, the Gregg Rolie Band, Mick Fleetwood's Island Rumors Band with Willie K and Eric Gilliom, Yvonne Elliman, and a South Pacific show with musicians and dancers from the Polynesian Cultural Center. The Diamond Head Crater Celebration is a concert inside Honolulu's Diamond Head Crater and the 2nd annual event will take place on May 19, 2007.


Kauai Condominium Adds High Speed Internet
Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation The low-rise Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation condominium complex, on the south shore of the island of Kauai, has added free in-room, wired, high-speed Internet access to all 333 of their units. No credit cards or access codes are required - just plug in your laptop computer and you are connected. The Kiahuna Plantation has one and two bedroom units with full kitchens and private lanais. Amenities on the grounds include two on-property restaurants, a swimming pool, tennis courts, expansive lawns, and gardens. The Kiahuna Plantation is located on sunny Poipu Beach across the street from the Poipu Shopping Village.

Return to Romance Festival in Honolulu
The new Matt Catingub Orchestra of Hawaii will present a festival of romantic music March 1-11, 2007 called the Return to Romance Music Festival. Performers will include Natalie Cole, Kenny Loggins, American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, Kealii Reichel, Raiatea Helm, Cecilio and Kapono, Amy Hanaialii Gilliom, Na Leo Pilimehana, Jimmy Borges, Rocky Brown, Nina Kealiiwahamana, Jordan Segundo, The Diamond Head Theatre Shooting Stars, Deborah Lippman, Kirk Whalum, Wayman Tisdale, and Patti Austin.

  • March 2: Romantic Jazz (Halekulani Hotel)
  • March 4: Smooth Romance (Waikiki Shell)
  • March 5: Romantic Jazz (Kahala Hotel)
  • March 6-8: Most Romantic Songs (Hawaii Theatre)
  • March 9: Return to Romance CD (Waikiki Shell)
  • March 11: Rhythm of Romance (Blaisdell Arena)

    Arizona Memorial Visitors Center To Be Torn Down and Replaced
    The United States National Park Service is planning to demolish most of the 16,000 square foot USS Arizona Memorial Visitor's Center and replace it with a new 23,000 square foot center that will cost $38 million to build. Tours of the USS Arizona Memorial will continue during the construction, which is expected to be completed by December 7, 2009.     2007 Diamond Head Crater Celebration
    Diamond Head Crater concertThe second annual Diamond Head Crater Celebration organized by Rob Gibson and Mark Mellick of GM Entertainment will take place inside Diamond Head Crater on May 19, 2007. The Diamond Head Crater Celebration is a six hour concert featuring top name international and Hawaiian entertainers. Reserved seat and general admission tickets are $125 to $175 and they are available through TicketMaster and the Blaisdell Arena box office in Honolulu. The 2007 line-up of performers will be announced soon.

    2007 Hawaiian Music Grammy Winner
    Legends of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Live from Maui The 2007 Grammy Award for Best Hawaiian Music Album of 2006 went to "Legends of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar: Live from Maui", an album produced by Daniel Ho, George Kahumoku, Jr., Paul Konwiser and Wayne Wong. The album features performances by Ledward Kaapana, Cyril Pahinui, Dennis Kamakahi, George Kahumoku, Jr, Keoki Kahumoku, Martin Pahinui, Ozzie Kotani, Daniel Ho, Richard Hoopii, Bobby Igano, and Da Ukulele Boyz.
