The Ka Iwi Channel Relay is an annual 40 mile canoe relay race from the island of Molokai to the island of Oahu, and this year the event will take place on May 7, 2006. Paddlers will depart from Molokai at 9:00 am and will arrive in Oahu at approximately 2:00 pm. There will be a celebration after the race, from 2 to 6 pm at Magic Island in Honolulu, with an awards ceremony, food booths, and live entertainment.December 2005
