One of the newest activities on the island of Kauai is soaring high above the forest canopy while secured in a harness and attached to an overhead cable system. Participants must weigh between 100 and 250 pounds, and some companies have a lower age limit of 15. Outfitters Kauai offers a zipline tour above waterfalls and rivers in the Kipu Falls area and Kauai Backcountry Adventures offers a tour that includes a series of seven ziplines stretched high above forests and valleys.December 2005
